Lou Brown: 1. News
August - During last year's Calm the Rising Waters tour Lou made a return visit to Jon Earl and his Shed. Since her first visit the Shed has gone global, appearing on respected radio and TV shows around the world. Her latest session can be viewed at the Songs from the Shed website.August - This month's rarity is With Open Arms, taken from the BBC Introducing session Lou recorded a couple of years ago and featuring Pete Christie and Aimee Newsome-Stone.August - An interview with Lou is currently featured on the Next Brit Thing website. Next Brit Thing is a music competition for 11-19 year olds, supported by the BRIT Trust, PRS for Music, the Official Charts Company and the Music Industry Association.July - On Sunday 24th Lou gave birth to twin girls, Harper & Scout Kippin-Brown. All are doing well.July - We're back up and working! Apologies if you've tried to use the website over the last month or so and found it wasn't working. Not a lot happening at the moment, apart from the twins getting bigger and bigger! Many thanks to Bob Meyer for his support and playing Lou regularly on his Folk Show on Radio Wey. As promised, below is another 'rare' track. Stay Here is also from the Calm the Rising Waters sessions, and features vocal group Black Tulip.May - While Lou is pregnant it will be quite quiet on these pages. So we've decided to put up a previously unreleased track, once a month. Each track will be up for one month only. The first song is Billy Came a-Walkin', taken from the Calm the Rising Water sessions and featuring Clive Gregson. You can listen below.March - Sorry it's been so quiet recently, and especially for having to pull the spring tour. But there is a reason, and here they are!
